Jennifer Basner, MA, CCC-SLP, holds a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Hofstra University, a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), and a permanent New York State certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH). She has a wide range of experience working in a variety of settings including, elementary schools and in private practice.
Jennifer specializes in providing therapy to children who present with receptive and expressive language delays and disorders, deficits in social pragmatic skills, and articulation and phonological difficulties. Her special interests include expanding language skills through play-based activities for early learners as well as working with small groups to improve social pragmatic language ability. She provides a nurturing environment where she helps build children’s self-confidence to help them succeed within the therapeutic and “real life” environments.She collaborates with families extensively and provides strategies and exercises for home to facilitate carryover of skills.
Jill Diamond, MA, CCC-SLP is a New York State licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Jill received a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts Degree at New York University. She maintains certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed in New York State. She also holds certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Jill has vast experience working with a full range of speech and language disabilities in the pediatric population. She divides her time between working in a special education preschool and as a team member at the Full Potential Resource Center. Jill feels that a team approach in achieving each child’s individualized goals leads to a rewarding degree of success in speech and language therapy.
Lori Nevins, MS, CCC/SLP is an ASHA certified and New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She has 14 years of pediatric experience, evaluating and treating children with a variety of diagnoses and impairments. These include, oral motor weakness, articulation/phonological impairments, expressive/receptive language delay, and childhood apraxia of speech. Lori is PROMPT trained and has experience with toddler groups designed to promote social interaction and speech-language improvement. Her background in pediatric speech therapy includes experience working in private practice, home-care and clinics. Lori earned her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and her M.S degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. Lori is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and New York State Speech Language Hearing Association.
Berleen Joseph is the office manager at the Full Potential Resource Center. She is a graduate from Hunter college, with a B.A. in English, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Special Education at the Long Island University Brooklyn Campus. Berleen's smile, intelligence, sensitivity and understanding of family needs and the dynamics of the Full Potential Resource Center have become an essential aspect of the FPRC experience for more than five years.
Jessica Kleinman, Learning and Reading Specialist, An experienced teacher and veteran of the New York, Connecticut and Florida public and private school systmes, Jessica has been a Reading and Learning Specialist at the Full Potential Resource Center since 2003. Specializing in education and reading assessment and instruction, by creating treatment plans based on each students' specific academic needs. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science from New York University as well as a Master's in Learning Disabilities from Southern Connecticut State University.
